DescriptionThe buff earthenware vase begins from a narrow base and flares outward as it rises to a prominent shoulder, from which is narrows sharply to its shallow neck. Poppy pods on long whip-lash stems are rendered in low-relief molding, and the whole is covered with a mauve matte glaze gradually changing to a purplish dove grey at the top.
