DescriptionThe buff earthenware pitcher rises from a bulbous bottom through a gently waisted form to a long trumpet-shaped neck and opening with spout. The pitcher is decorated in Rookwood Pottery’s Standard glaze, showing pink clover with green leaves rendered in colored slips on a brown ground and covered with a glossy glaze. The ear-shaped handle was molded and applied to the body, which had earlier been thrown on a potter’s wheel.
