DescriptionThe earthenware vase of slight ovoid shape narrows at top and bottom from a side swelling slightly above middle. It is decorated in an overall abstract pattern of circles (suggesting soap bubbles) drawn in raised brown slip with ivory and medium-blue slips that have run during firing into a flambé effect. The whole surface is covered in a transparent matte glaze that gives the slips a soft sheen.
ProvenanceFrom 1984
